The last days were marked by a change of scenery. Where for many years I always go, many things have changed and will change many things yet. What is the will to design and is to a certain extent, self-expression. Pomp and functional architecture are close together. Life pulsates day and night, and yet there are some oases of calm and reflection. The traces of history are visible everywhere, at every turn. Later I sit in one of the countless bars and let my mind wander. I observe people as they go their way - apparently purposefully and without hesitation. Unbelievable how the everything here has changed in the last 25 years. Where It was once in chiaroscuro, today it is colorful and loud. At least outwardly.
I like this city because they do not want to fill up their wounds, but is proud of them. This is their terrific strength.
